Those alternative brake pads for the Trol -- get tge pads of the MAZDA ETUDE -- you have to grind a tiny wee little bit off at one corner -- but the it works 100 % [same material - same thickness as the Patrol item that Nissan flocks you with

AGAROB has a set -- and I assume he still stops with it [Christo het nognie gekla nie .. :-) ]

Yip .... I've used the Mazda Etude brake pad for the rear of the Patrol ( Ferodo Platinum ). I just filed down the metal ear on the ends of the pad and they slipped in like a glove!!... and a fraction of the price !!

4.5  but 4.8  could not find anything in the catalogue that will work without serious mod. These days I always ask for discount from Nissan main stealer. It's not that the carry any of the parts so they don't have any expenses on it!

I went with these ATE brakes on the rear of Chuck - also meant for the front of an Astina if I'm not mistaken:

I used an angle grinder to trim away the steel marked in red.

A file would have taken way too long, but Cedric is much stronger than I am and he probably has a better file too! :rolling:

Got mine fitted last week and had to cut the bottom only as per pic above. Used a hack saw
I think I used Mazda 323 MK VI - part number Ferodo FDB1455 :surprised:

I took my rear pads to Midas
The salesman took a product catalog with 1:1 scale drawings and matched mine

If I remember correctly the match was Nissan Sentra/Almeida front pads for a steal. We had to grind away one small corner 5x5mm and fitted it.

That was about 30000km ago......

When I need to replace again I will make sure to remember the exact match and post it here.
