Re: shudder while turning
My afrikaans is bad, but if you asking weather this vehicle was purchased brand new only 4500km ago, then yes, you are correct. He purchased the patrol bakkie for his dad, from a nissan dealership, took delivery only about 2 months ago.

Re: shudder while turning
Well it's been a few months, Patrol was MIA. Had airbags, bash plate, canopy, bullbar, winch and couple other fitted...so finally got it back. The shudder is still there so is the suspension squeak which sounds like rubber on rubber ;(.
The shudder only happens under load ie throttle and when turning left or right at slow speeds. Nissan want to strip and suspect the prop shaft. They haven't tried the oil. Not sure of exact spec to buy? We want to try the oil first.

Re: shudder while turning
Depends on the temperature range the vehicle is subjected to
It should be in the owner's manual?

Re: shudder while turning
take a sample of oil from your diff and get it tested. seriously.
Bet you million bucks its regular oil, not the LSD oil it should be.
I use castrol LsX in my diff now, no worries.
However if its the wrong oil in there now you will need to flush out several times to get it back, and even then it will never be as good as it should be.
Please update when you find the root issue.

Re: shudder while turning
Went to Nissan and called castrol from there they mentioned 75w lsx so will put tomorrow. Initially Nissan said they put a general synthetic oil for both the gearbox and diffs...wanted 700 rand for 5l.

Re: shudder while turning
Quick update
We changed the diff oil rinsed and soaked with petrol and parrafin for about an hour. Moved car forward and back a couple of meters. That was Friday. They are in kruger today testing setup and my dad just mentioned no shudder nothing at all all the way there. Thanks for the help guys. Nissan had the car for a week and refused to check the diff. Instead they wanted to dismantle the prop shaft...eish.
