To everybody.
Please note that I am not selling anything.
Please order directly from Rope World.
What I can offer is to bring the items from the Cape to Pretoria at nil cost provided that the package is not too big or heavy and of course subject to my travel arrangements.
All I wanted to achieve is to make the members aware of this specific supplier where I buy my gear

1998 4500 GRX (Benji)
2011 4800 GRX Adventure 60 (Jorrie)
2011 Jimny Sold (Benji)
2 x 2019 Jimnies (1 x Lizzybean69, 1 x Jorrie)
Note that Securetech are in JHB, and offer a fantastic product with back up. They all have the certificate attached. Is there such a price differance ? I personally would not skimp or quam when buying recovery kit. Would hate to have a problem in the field, due to a R 200 saving.

Specialised Industrial Supplies is the supplier of recovery gear to Securetech. I have asked for a pricelist but this is the answer I got.
good morning
we do not hand out pricelists, but we can quote on the equipment you require
attached is a list of our basic program
if the 4x4 club would like to become resellers of our SECURETECH equipment then that application can be made and we will handle such accordingly
we await your next instruction.
I will get a quote from them for the same specs as what Rope World can supply and then we can compare prices.
I don't think the club wants to get involved with reselling equipment?
To open up another can of worms, I have a strong suspicion that the "recovery loop" fitted at the back of the Patrol (centre position) may not be as strong as we may think.
I visited G-Man today and he showed me one that he removed from a Patrol.
It certainly does not look strong enough, especially not for a kinetik recovery. In fact I think that it maybe dangerous to use and I am certainly not going to use it after what I have seen today. I am going have a much more robust point fitted to my Patrol.
Do yourselves a favour and take the loop off and inspect it and then make up your own minds.
G-Man, when you have a moment, please post a photo of what you showed me today to illustrate what I am saying here.
