"By the way ... if one wants one can get magnetic stuff to stick the stickers on your car. then easily taken off afterwards.
The stuff costs about R100 /m2. Put your name down if you would be interested, and if we can get 13 people, we can just get a roll at R80/m2."

One would also like to have some magnetic stuff for one to use. One really hates it when one has to stick all manner of stuff on one's paint work!

The list for the Fundi Challenge is now available:

The times on the list is for the start of the 1st obstacle and to do that you need to be next to the Bass Lake restaurant - where the gazebo will be - for at least 30 minutes before you start time. You will then be sent to the training section to complete your forms and get the scrutineering done.

This will be the scrutineering:
The following items will be checked by the Bridgestone scrutineer during each 4x4 Club Challenge and the
finals event;
• Medical kit
• Recovery kit
• Front and rear recovery points
• Fire extinguisher
• 1lt of water for every occupant
• Valid License disk on the vehicle
• Valid National driver’s license
• Operational seat belts
• Clubs uniforms/ clothing/ colours are a requirement during club events and finals.
• Vehicle decals
• Engine compartment components must all be in a satisfactory working condition and not loose or
leaking;
a) Belts
b) Battery/ies

Points Scoring will be:
Point scoring system for the Bridgestone finals, general deductions include the following and
may be used selectively as per each obstacle’s information sheet;
•Stopping in an obstacle -5 points
•Roll back -5 points
•Touching banner tape -25 points
•Touching each pole -25 points
•Missing a gate -25 points
•2nd attempt -50 points
•Interfering with obstacle markers -100 points
•Interfering with marshal’s duties -100 points
•Refusing to comply to marshal orders -Disqualification
•Driving without safety belts & incorrect window heights - Disqualification

There will be a prize-givig afterwards.

so how does this comp work exactly. is it an internal club compition where the best drivers on the club will go to the finals to compete with other clubs. some more info i someone can help. thanks. my boet doesnt have a shirt yet but is a club member. so i recon a red shirt will do.

Are you guys using it to hide existing stickers, or protect your paintwork from the decals we have to display on the day.

My only metal bits are the doors and bonnet, so everything else will have to stuck on anyway.
