Drag link and Tie Rod for Patrol
I have recently bought an old Nissan Patrol and is trying to get it through COR. The ball joints on my drag link and tie rod is "gaar". I have tried to get parts from my local Nissan dealer - no joy. I need Tie rod ends and it seems the complete drag link for a 1996 Patrol SGL 4.2 D. Where do I go to if my local Nissan dealer can't help, will Nissan SA help - who do I contact? Are there alternative suppliers? Any help will be appreciated.

Have a look at this link. It might help if you cannot source the parts in SA.

I also have a Land Cruiser Troopy. It is an old model and before Toyota SA brought the Troopy to SA I use to get parts from N1 4x4. Is there a similar place specializing in Nissan Patrol parts?

Re: Drag link and Tie Rod for Patrol
I found ball joints somewhere, and made a new adjustable drag link. I am pretty sure I posted the details somewhere on here, but can't find it.
One of the Cabstar lorries have the same taper pin size on the ball joints.

Re: Drag link and Tie Rod for Patrol
Not that I am aware of. Maybe somebody else on this forum could provide a better cue. However, scrap yards could be a usefull source, if you can find a Patrol or another vehicle that uses similar parts. The problem would be to identify which other vehicles share parts with Patrols. In this manner I have found good bits and pieces from other vehicles that are the same on Patrols. Admittedly the items were not major items. Good luck in your search. And, if you do find what you are looking for, please post the relevant details on this forum so that others can benefit from your experience.Kameel wrote:Thanks Jorrie will keep that option in mind.Have a look at this link. Re: Drag link and Tie Rod for Patrol

Stuur my 'n PM as jy hom soek?
