Ek het so 'n eenvoudige dB meter wat ons by die werk gebruik.
Ek het hom vanoggend getoets, 80km/h op dieselfde stuk pad as Vrydag. 'n 1,9dB verskil. Ek reken om nog 'n verdere verskil te kry moet ek byna die hele agterkant wat nog nie toegemaak is nie 'n laag gee.
Natuurlik het ek nog niks voor ingesit nie.
With your words you set into motion the direction your life will go.
Good old dB being a logarithmic thing is a a bit of pain,
as example:
Perceptions of Increases in Decibel Level
Imperceptible Change 1dB
Barely Perceptible Change 3dB
Clearly Noticeable Change 5dB
About Twice as Loud 10dB
About Four Times as Loud 20dB
even a small amount of dB change won't be perceivable, and only 10dB feels twice as loud
What is interesting , at high intensities 85+dB, for every 2-3 dB the loudness increase , you nearly half the allowable time before you get permanent hearing loss
Hours per day / Sound level
8 85dBA
4 88dBA
2 90dBA
Make the effort to do the front focusing on the gearbox area as well as the firewall. I have fitted similar sound proofing and heat rejection material, and it has made a huge differance. I have also spent time sealing all the holes on the wall that carried all the electrical cables. Well worth the effort.
