Dashbags

Post by Peter Connan »

Mark Schubert from 4x4 Assist made me a dash-bag for my Y60.

It fits around the grab handle and attaches to the dash by means of self-adhesive velcro. It has a small bag at each end, suitable for sunglasses or cellphones, and three larger bags, one on top of the instrument cluster, one filling the space between the ends of the grab handle and the other from the right-hand end of the grab handle to the instrument binnacle. It also has two sleeves for pens (and it comes with pens already fitted) and two tie-down straps for who knows what.

He charges R380 for them, and can be reached at 0833070574. I am sure he will make for the Y61 guys if somebody is prepared to let him measure their dashboard.
Mag ons ons kenniskry met lekkerkry aanhoukry.

Peter, he already did the measurements, and created the pattern.
I think he can start delivering soon.

This question is, I guess, more applicable to the Y61 guys:
Will this cover not hamper the passenger seat's front airbag?

Jules, I somehow skipped the standard lens thing. My 80-400 can't focus close enough (2.3m minimum), so I started with the macro lens. Keep in mind, my macro lens is a 180mm, so these are from the back seat:

I soon realized that that wasn't going to work, so I went and borrowed a 28mm lens:

Does that help Jules?
