Gents
Decided last night that I am in the mood to go where no man has gone before: helpsign:
. I am leaving this hell hole on the 22 December and will be driving to Carnarvon for the first overnight stop. From these I will be going to Verneukpan and then on to the Cederberge. Two day there and then back via the Baviaanskloof.
Has anybody else been here, and suggestions please. Would also like to meet up with other Nissan4x4/Patrol owners on the trip

We drove the Baviaans / Kouga route over the mountain from Langekloof to Baviaanskloof in December 2011.
http://www.openafrica.org/participant/B ... -4x4-Route
Probably the most scenic and most remote route I have ever driven.
Some pitcures from my original trip report:
http://www.patrol4x4.co.za/viewtopic.ph ... 458#p24458
Accomodation:
http://www.baviaanslodge.co.za/ContactUs.aspx
We are still considering whether to do it again.
The route is not that challenging, You can do most without engagin 4x4, but it is long, around 32 km, takes between 3 and 5 hours, depending on how much you stop.
