This was one of the most interesting and very enjoyable
trips I have done in a very long time - absolutely fantastic!!! 
I will post pic's later here - just some written feedback first. Guys I can really really recommend this one. The place is situated just outside Klawer - about 15 km. It is on a farm and the owner and his wife runs it - Frikkie and Hettie van Zyl - the two nicest people I have met in a long time. Everything is guided under "oom" Frikkie
- but he is a real "bok for sports" - and does all the challenges with us. It consists of a mountain route with plenty of obstacles and challenges, a drag strip where we raced our vehicles together, a sand route (not very long though but plenty challenges) and some serious and very daring challenges and obstacles. No battle scars will be part of your weekend and there is good escape routes around everything if you do not wish to do it. But I did everything and my Trol with winch did three recovery's this weekend as well - one Land Rover 90 2.8 swb, Isuzu double cab 4x4 (stock standard bakkie - no mods) and oom Frikkie's 4.2 Toyota Land Cruiser Bakkie as well (There is a story behind this one!!!!)To really make it worth your while though I recommend this trail for a long weekend setup - we drove the Mountain route and some challenges & obstacles the Saturday - and the sand route and some more obstacles & challenges the Sun - had a lunch time braai at the "grotte", saw some real boesman paintings there and then did a 300m foefie slide from up the mountain to the bottom!!! EVERYTHING was magnificent and arranged very well!!!
This is a real family outing and get together for family fun and some serious 4x4ing - we let the women do some driving on the sand on Sunday and they enjoyed it thoroughly!! It was one of the best 4x4 weekends away we had in a vey long time.
Accomodation consists out of a house with 2 bedrooms that can sleep 6 - 8 people comfortably - and fully equipped with everything!!! You just need to take your food and bedding. 15 People (8 Adults 7 Children) ended up sleeping in the house this weekend when we where there - we just converted the living room / lounge area into sleeping quarters and put the blow up mattresses down. Electricity to the house is supplied by means of a diesel generator with ample wattage.
There is also a camping area right next to the house with its own ablution block consisting of 2 showers and a toilet. Warm water supply is with gas - so there is always hot water available for everybody. We and another couple where the only ones "brave" enough to camp and withstand the winter chill!!!
Ok - if anybody wants more info please ask - but this is a "have to do trail" on your list - I can really highly recommend it!!!
