One of my "better" characteristics is that I will listen to all the good advice that I can gather en then decide I will do the opposite. So thanx to Tinus for all his efforts in getting me a set of Goodyear Wranglers at a great price but even though I know all the "right" answers I have decided to purchase the 305/70/16 Coopers STT in Cape Town.
Why??? I ask myself and that is a fair question and I think that is part of my flawed personality. I do not like doing what the majority of people do, maybe that is why I jumped out of a serviceable aircraft and drive a Patrol and not a Land Cruiser.
Ok, one of the reasons is that it looks SEXY (My wife does not understand that a tyre can look sexy but then neither does Chad look that sexy to me)
I have read a lot on the Aussi sites and there are some of their members that have 305's on standard rims and standard Patrols and if you do not engage in serious off roading they do not catch that much on the body.
Now the next step in the process is to get the tyres to Gauteng. Anybody coming to Gauteng in the near future that has space for 5 passengers?

Thanks guys, mine is a 4.8 and it seems the 285/75/16 is the way to go. Some of the guys have these on and are happy. The costs seem also to play a role.
