Post by PeetO »

The seal for dual/double petrol tank leaks. (Does not help with the fuel consumption.)

I have tried several place in Pretoria to get a new seal but without any sucess. Unforenately I don't know who fitted the tank.

Can anybody help please?

Thanks for the reply Tinus.

I had a proper look again and it appears if the leak is actualy where the 2 pipes from the 2 tanks join. Must stil clean it properly and have a good look. Wonder if I will be able to seal it with silicone or something else?

Peet,
Don't waist time and effort to try silicone.
Silicone and petrol don't mix.
If not removing the tank and have it properly fixed your next best option would be Pratley Steel (See some previous posts on the form).
Good luck.

Thanks for the good advice Bruin Beer.

Will first try the Pratley Steel and report later on the success.
