So the only thing that did "brul" this weekend that I know of, were "Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines", or rather dune ascending Nissans!

Re: Witsand 6 - 9 April 2012
More of the mountain trip, but with the mountain taking its toll on one of the Hardbodies....
.... Devilliers broke/sheared his rear prop shaft on one of the rough sections. The offending propshaft was quickly removed and an anchor tow to the bottom of the obstacle, where Devilliers decided to gently drive back to the "spook huis". Luckily keeping it in 4x4 still allowed him to drive using front wheel drive.
Unfortunately the mountain top was....ummm..... (looking for a nice word)...... phew.... well lets say impossible to camp on unless you had a roof top tent. there was only a rock bed big enough for about 4 cars.
Decision made to head back to the "Spook huis" where there was at least place to make a fire!!
En-route back to "Spook huis" we were blessed with this !!!! Hows this for a sunset !!!
And after a fantastic meal and a nice warm fire.... with loads of laughs jokes and general fun...... and a beautiful full moon !!! we had to prepare to drive back the next morning .... to go see the Eagles concert that evening
Wonderful trip.... fantastic people.... made this a great trip..... Thanks Vaughn!!

Tinus
I was on 1.1 for the sand and 1.5 for the rocks. I found 1.5 a little soft for the rocks. Was risking cuts, I should rather have been on 1.8 in my view.
1.1 was syfficient for me on the sand but would have gone down to 0,8 if it did not give me the expected performance.
