4.8 Throttle Cable

Hi David,
Have had the 4.8 for just over a month now and am loving it. Had, what I think is a spring come off the throttle cable, were it attaches to the pedal. Please wont you help me by checking if this is indeed a spring or a plastic spacer as it does not come seperate and will have to spend R800 on a whole new cable to get it. The item spaces the cable stop and the pedal tangs under the dash.
Would really appreciate it
Regards
Trevor
Hi Trevor
It looks like I can't attach any pictures when replying to your PM so I will post it here where it might help someone else as well

Here is a diagram that shows the whole system.

Thanks David,
It doesn't look like there is ment to be a spring, will have a closer look on the van, perhaps the front stop pulled through.
Will let you know

It is not the spring that the pedal hinges on, but rather the cable attachment to the top of the pedal, my cable sticks out about 4 cms, and thus does not get pulled by the pedal? Its either pulled through or lost a bush/spacer or spring?

Is the problem not at the other end of the cable?

Gents, took the cover off and found the one cable had jumped loose of the bracket! Wanted to remove the cover previously but the chap at the nissan dealer at the time was convincing that there was a spring missing at the pedal side. So we learn, thanks again for all the valued advice.
