Loud "KLUNK" on max turning of steering.

Loud "KLUNK" on max turning of steering.
My diesel 3.0 tdi grx has made this loud "KLUNK" sound every time I am moving forward and turn the wheel fully to either the left or right. Is it play on the front ball joints, and more importantly is it serious??

No one replied to my message?? I recently discovered the problem - it was a panhard rod with badly worn bushes!! Turning left would make it shift and "klunk" and it would stay there until turning the opposite way when it would move again and make the noise again. Nothing serious but nice to have resolved the issue.
