My apologies for the picture quality, I had to fiddle in photoshop to make the plates more visible.
Mag ons ons kenniskry met lekkerkry aanhoukry.

Jules the front bash plate protects mostly the front steering arm, the panhard rod and the steering damper. It may also provide some protection for the diff casing in certain circumstances and on the 4.8 it could also protect the sump which hangs lower on those cars than on the others, but only under exceptional circumstances.

Thanks Peter
Both plates fitted in a matter of minutes - very easy and rewarding DIY exercise - they look great.

Thanks Chris

Your car is really starting to look like the bee's knees. However I would strongly recommend putting on some protection for the lower part of your radiator. Give me a shout if you want some assistance with that?

I have now added some protection for the radiator - some heavy duty expanded metal.
I have also made some slight mods to the Bash Plate as my thinking was that it came down a bit too low at the rear end. So I made a few cuts and bends, a couple of welds - and voila!
It looks far more suble now, although I will still neaten it up the welds with the grinder next weekend.
I should have been a plastic sturgeon.
Now the car is really starting to pick up some character!
