Unfortunately I am convinced to headgasket blew. After filling up the radiator while idling the motor, and then turning off the car and leaving it for a few minutes, I started the engine only to find it idling VERY rough and probably on 5 cylinders.
So I stripped the head over the weekend, and when I took the exhaust manifold off I found water marks/droplets on the no 2,3 and 5 ports. When I took the head off, i couldn't really see from which water port the leak came from..... but .... after cleaning the head I noticed this !!!!
Small crack between the precom and valve !!!

all this %#@%^*&# because of a bolt that somehow smacked into the inside of the radiator. I cant find anyplace where a bolt is missing anywhere in the engine bay, but know it was a bolt because the fan has a slight indentation on its leading edge and thread indentations on the side of the bladeas it spun into the radiator..... can you believe this ????? This must be one of the most impossible scenario's EVER to have happen !!!

Frans.... Whats your opinion on this head??...... as for the sleeves, they look almost flat with the block. How much above the block should they be? If they need to be lifted, I presume the only way is to send the block inso they can be pressed out a bit.... or is there another way to do this without having to strip off everything else to take the block out .....again !!!!
I also noticed that some of the precoms were loose in the head.... Is this normal?? They weren't wobbly loose but they were definitely not a snug tight fit??
