Equiping for extended safari

Post by chipompi »

Iam an expat living in Uganda and need some advise on which supplier to use to equip my trol, roof rack, tents, winch blah blah blah.

there are so many to choose from but some seriously lack customer service or are not into internet sales.

have any of the forum members got a trusted and reliable supplier that i can talk to.

regards

Lawrence

Speak to Mahem (Dennis Maytom) on the forum. You can contact him at Megaworld 4x4 in the Strand Cape Town. I am sure they could help you with everything.

Hey Lawrence,

What Area you in ? .... ,When i was up in Uganda i did some work in the big Nissan Dealership in Kampala before heading to Jina and elsewhere. At least 12 Patrols standing on the floor for servicing and what not. Many of them, although UN / Unisef/ Samaritan's Purse etc etc , were rigged out with proper gear.

Surely they will be able to point you in the right direction ? Possibly a local supplier of gear ? I'd go have a chat to them. The workshop manager is very very knowledgeable on Patrols, far more than our mechanics/managers here in south africa, and i bet he'll be able to help.

Anyway. Enjoy Uganda - flippen amazing place.
