Hello Kevin
On the basis that the sales pitch only gives the good news, and the bad news you generally only find out after shelling out cash, what are the disadvatages of an RTC damper setup?
From what I understand the advantages are that the car is less susceptable to "wandering" (sorry Anthony) and is therefore requires less driver input at speed, and it reduces the tendency of a lifted Patrol to pull to the left?
The only disadvantages I can think of are reduced steering feel (already not a Patrol strong point), slightly increased steering effort required off-road and when parking and a possibility that it might mask wheel alignment issues, are there any others?
Thanks
Peter

Thanks Peter
, as that now explains the extra pull I noticed since the 2" lift. Kept thinking it was wheel alignment duh...will see if the damper improves this at all and provide feedback.
The damper may ultimately do very little but I suppose you know boys and their toys, that shiney new yellow thing up front also is kind of cool...to me anyhow...
also to me the vehicle has done 100k done since new and figure shocks don't last forever!

OK, I am not the greatest suspension expert, but my understanding is that an RTC damper is kind of a "band-aid" solution that masks the real problems in suspension geometry.
Unless you are running a pretty extreme setup, fix the underlying problem and the RTC damper becomes unnecessary.
Feel free to tell me that I do not know what I am talking about, and why. I am always eager to learn.
