Oom Mac, sal 'n plan maak.
Anybody else got any other requirements/improvements that won't push the price up too much?
Peter

Re: Big Country bash plate
Hello Guys, I have hit a small snag:
I have discvovered that a Y61 is not necessarily a Y61. What I mean by that is that the Y61 is built on a modified Y60 chassis. Nissan have welded on extra bits to the old Y60 chassis to suit the new body/engine combinations.
The problem is that the bits they have welded on are not always the same. The older, more rounded shape with the 3l diesel engine has straight extensions welded onto the old chassis to make the legs longer, while the 4.8 (both the older rounded shape and the current shape have an additional cross-member welded to the front of the chassis, fabricated from square tube that bends down in the middle and has a small plate bolted on to protect the radiator.
My problem is that I do not currently know what chassis is used on the 4.2 Diesel (looking at David's pictures it appears to be the same as the 3l, but I am not 100% sure), the 4.5l and the new-shape 3l diesel, although I hope to have that one identified later today. Is there anybody with a 4.5 around who can visit me to check it out? Wilfred are you in SA?
JG, as jy een wil he dink ek ons moet ook net seker maak wat onder jou kar aangaan?
Pieter hoe kan ek jou help?

Peter,

Nogmaals dankie,
