Mike ? (Mike the bike)

Post by mikethebike »

Hi My name is Mike and i've just bought my first Patrol it's a 1998 TD4.2 Y61 in blue which used to belong to Raka. It's not my first 4x4 but I have to alot to learn about this particular vehicle but so far so good and just by checking out the various patrol sites I've already learnt quite a bit.
I do mostly short overlanding trips and occasional trials but I'll be using this vehicle mostly as a support vehicle for my motorcycle adventure tour business in and around SA.
I look foward to meeting with you guys

Hi Mike,
Always nice to meet new members and welcome! Just to add some lessons I learned very quickly on this forum, you had better send some pics of your vehicle, otherwise Oom Mac and others will come down on you very rapidly!
Great forum though and good luck witn your patrol!
regards,
Chris

Welcome Mike!
Pictures are always nice, but don't stress too much about them. It takes a little experimenting and messing around to learn how.

You will probably be encouraged to post pictures by Uncle Mac (Kagiso) and others, but on this fforum we are not quite so hardcore about demanding them as on, say, the Nissan4x4 forum  .

Thanks guys for all the welcomes and I certailly hope that I get to meet some of you in the future.
FD yes you are right it was a agonising decision between the prado and patrol, the size and space won over the prado in the end.

A special thanks to the bikers of this forum and yes I am on the WD forum but not as 'mikethebike' but as Ktvroom.
as well as I have a vendor add under 'The Road Less Travelled' check it out.
I also have a website http://www.roadlesstravel.net - check it out ( no more punting, I promise)
