Belts are worn to hell, advice needed.
Guys, my belts are on the way out. I need new ones for my 4.2D. I've been to midas, suburban, tonnesons, commercial spares, you name it i've been there, none of them have listed belts for the patrols. Do i need to order these items from the dealers or has someone got a better idea, i'm at my wits end.

Russ, the aftermarket guys do have the right belts, but you need to give them a sample, as (like most Trol stuff) its not listed so they don`t realize that they have it!!! I replaced all mine from the after market guys last year some time. I`ll dig around and see if I can find any part numbers for you. SRXy did the same before our Zambia trip last year, so between us we might be able to get the numbers you need. I`ll scratch around in the my garage and in the back of the van and see what I can dig up.....otherwise SRXy will be back from the UK at the weekend.

Re: Belts are worn to hell, advice needed.
Russ, I just discovered a full spare set of belts lurking in the back of the van that I had forgotten about!! I bought the extra set when I changed all the belts about 18months back. I can`t remember which of the aftermarket guys I bought them from, but it was most likely Suburban Spares in Ottery, or the Midas down the road from me in Tokai.
I`ve listed the part numbers below in order of length (longest to shortest), which I think is Power Steering, Alternator, Air-con but it`ll become clear when you pull the old ones off as to which goes where.
Goodyear/Ram (Gatorback) PG480
Goodyear/Ram (Gatorback) PG476
Goodyear/Ram (Gatorback) PG468
Hope that helps!
