10 weeks on tour

Post by stobi_de »

Hi from Germany,
after a long time I'm back. From August to November this time for 10 weeks.
This time my wife and me travel with some friends. We planed a tour (even I hate to plan ecactly and book in advance everything, but it is most important for our friends, that every minute is planed)
But we do not have to drive all the way together, so I show here the tour plan.
Maybe somebody has some remarks concerning alternatives.
And one querstion: there is a ferry between Richertveld and Aus. How often does it go?
And here the tour (some german words, but you should understand)

Hallo, out of interest, why the question about the ferry from Richteveld to Aus? It is just a 500km drive, and one border crossing?

Pilanesberg ist nicht mehr genau, was es immer war, wenn ihr wohl hingeht, erst mal schön gucken, wo ihr wohnen wollt, aber Camping ist nicht mehr so schön da.

My friend has made this part of the route. He wants to use the ferry and the question is only, how many times a day does the ferry go?
---
I know that Pilanesberg is getting worse every year.
Etosha has it better: it has been consistently catastrophic for years and it can't get any worse. It's only going to get more expensive.
My friend wants to celebrate his 60th birthday there with many of his African friends. Don't ask me why it has to be Pilanesberg.

I used the ferry at Sendelings Drift in December 2019. I believe we are taling about the same one. I just showed up and once my pasport was stamped I dove on and we crossed. Believe you have to pay but it was not a hassle so I don't think it was expensive. Obviously it was a long time ago but I don't think there is any reason why it wouldn't still operate.
