Nissan Vredenburg has closed down leaving customers high and dry!!
Ek sien elke keer baie Nissans in Vredenburg, as ek daar is.
Ek het 18 maande terug 'n huis in Vredenburg gekoop, met die wete dat daar 'n Nissan Garage is wat na my 2 Patrols en my ou 1989 Skyline kan kyk. "Gaan nou Malmesbury toe" sê hulle!!
Ek wil my voertuie in my eie dorp laat diens. Ek trek vroeg April in my huis in Vredenburg in.

Malcolm, we have a Western Cape/Westcoast Patrol whatsapp group. If you want I can get them to add you to that group so you can find out what the guys are doing around this situation. Reenen, Tinus and Gman are all on that group.

Don't let Murphy hear us talking, but old Hillbilly is actually doing remarkably well in the rust department despite living just 8km from the sea. He gets to the beach every week to two weeks for a 3.5km beachside drive just above the high tide mark in super soft sand. Does a fair amount of recoveries on the beach and in the farming community with people that don't figure how soft the sand is. This morning I had to pull the Takealot van out when he fell off the side of our driveway and sunk the backend down to the bumper.
I just wish we had more rocks here. I kinda built him for rock crawling, but have ended up in a sandpit with not a rock in sight for miles.

Re: Nissan Vredenburg has closed down leaving customers high and dry!!
David, I will be in VB next Sat evening and Sunday, with my 4.5 Patrol, towing a 2 ton trailer bringing garage stuff down for storage. Maybe we can see each other.
I drop the trailer in VB on Monday morning, leave the Patrol in Stellenbosch on Monday afternoon, then fly back home.
I will put the Skyline on a car transporter just before Easter. I will collect it some time later in April in CT.
On 3rd April our furniture leaves here and the Mrs will drive her Duster 4x4 down, I will drive the 3.0 Patrol towing the camping trailer. Hopefully we will leave in the wee hours of the 4th and be in VB late afternoon of the 5th.

I'll ask the guys to add you to the group. There are a few of them that also seem to have their own workshops.mvcoller wrote:David, I will be in VB next Sat evening and Sunday, with my 4.5 Patrol, towing a 2 ton trailer bringing garage stuff down for storage. Maybe we can see each other.

We can have a look at how things work out when you are down here. We don't get out much. Once you get used to the tranquility of the farm, even Vredenburg is a hustle and bustle I avoid. You really have to spend some serious time convincing me to eveb go to Velddrif once a week to two weeks to go do groceries.

Re: Nissan Vredenburg has closed down leaving customers high and dry!!
One the very competent mechanics that used to work for Nissan is now at the Suzuki garage in Vredenburg. He's worked on my Patrol, a few of the guys in the area and just did some work on Daniel's patrol and I'm taking mine to him again shortly for some maintenance.
