Stylistically they don't work on the GQ, and I only ever made one set.
Also, with very hard wheeling they do cause vehicle damage due to the much greater leverage they can apply to the mounting points. And the GQ's doors don't extend outwards nearly as far as the GU doors.
So it's horses for courses. But I am thinking of making up some Aluminium "applique armor" panels to bolt onto the doors. Just a thought at the moment.

This set was shortened by the owner so as not to need to trim the plastics, and was fitted with glue as originally intended with rivets for backup:

This set is a slightly later design, which bolts on and has steps built in. Not sure if they are fully fitted yet.
