Very possibly; I'm running on little sleep. What doesn't make sense Malcolm? I'm just updating the OEM pricing.

Re: Source for Y61 REAR Brake Pads
This makes no sense: .
Nissan Pads rear set (D4060VB1X0) = R705 excl VAT
Nissan Pads rear harware kit set (44080VB225) = R1,977 excl VAT
The same thing? Why two prices? The one perhaps Pads, the other one some or other kit?
"rear harware kit set"
And what did you try to say here? I don't get it, not being funny.... Am I being dof?
So "harware" is obviously a spelling error, but is a "kit" and a "set" not synonyms in this context?
Or is "rear hardware kit set" referring to a box full of bits for a calliper overall?

Re: Source for Y61 REAR Brake Pads
There is a difference in terms of "kit" and pads only. The "kit" includes the anti-rattle plates as well as the pads. You can see the schematics on PartSouq.

So yes like Ian says, the "kit" is the shims, clips, etc. Nissan calls it a "hardware kit", not me. However, it DOES NOT include the pads, as you can see from the diagram Ian is referring to. It is supposed to be slightly more expensive than the pads, but why the local quote is almost 3 times more expensive than the pads, is the real thing that does not make sense to me. Maybe it has to be imported via camel train.
"set": because it is for both rear wheels.

Re: Source for Y61 REAR Brake Pads
Thanks - sorry - I presumed it was the plates and pads. Didn't check it out before posting. Cannot understand why the rattle plates and stuff is so expensive... :|Witbobbejaan wrote: ↑22 Aug 2023 14:45 Malcolm,
