3.0ZD power loss over 2500rpm

Post by Kroco »

Good day all/Goeie dag,
My 2003 Y61 with a 3.0ZD motor has recenty started showing a problem - starts and runs fine from cold up to about 2500-3000 rpm. Above that it is now very gutless and if goes over 3200rpm then MIL light comes on and stays on until next power off. Changed all filters, cleaned intercooler - slight oil leaks. It feels like a second stage problem. Does anyone have any suggestions. I am a reasonably capable home mechanic with tools - ex Landrover owner!
