I had the same problem.... I had the best solution to that problem. I built myself a new 7500mm deep x 6500mm wide garage with a 2465mm high garage door. I can now load my roofrack with RTT onto the Patrol in the garage from the Franklin hoist suspended from the roof trusses.... It makes life sooooo much easier. So there is never problems only solutions....
Hey, Hillbilly has not been able to fit under a garage door for many years now. He is like the dog that just got too much to be allowed to sleep in the house, and had to adapt to living outside.

hahaha... hillbilly's have to stay outside.....
David, you can't build a garage high enough for Hillbilly ...
Problem is the sun beats him to death. Nissan also makes the inside door panels from a plastic that melts and gets deformed at around 50degC. So guess what mine looks like in the West Coast sun that hits above 40deg in the shade here every few days. Even my clear coat on my paint job is coming off faster than it did in the last 5 years in Gauteng.

OK So I installed the tower braces from Boss 4x4. Was the most elegant solution for me.
Again thanks to all for your inputs!
Would you mind supplying more info and some photos please?
