Jongosi has new shoes !!

Post by davejones »

Thanks Hanko for 4 very good quality Cooper Discoverer STT's. Thanks to Jukmail I found a 5th STT, never used. So after a 200km round trip, including missing the rugby, Jongosi has some 285/75 R16 bande !! :woo:

Also spent a few hours this morning making some washers for the spare wheel carrier... soutie style, but they do the job. Found out after that there's a shop not too far from where I stay that distribute washers up to 10mm thick

Did your ground clearance also change when you put on the new tyres, or were you on 33"s before this?

Beautifull!!

I had a look at Stefan's ride this weekend who has a similar setup and it just looks so much better with the 285's.

Just one question - Why is your Trol so clean when you have tyres like that???

Very nice Dave!

PS. I see your STT's are pulling slightly to the right  But more seriously, do you find your STT's pulling slighty to the left on tar?

Sias: I was on 265/70 R16 duellers before; according to http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalcul ... ion=submit :oldtimer: I should have increased ground clearance by around 56mm

David: By Sunday evening Jongosi is always clean

Stefan:  My trol has always felt as though it pulled to the left, having checked and re-checked wheel alignment. Driving home after fitting the STT's I actually think I felt much less of a pull; but I don't know just how much I was concentrating so I will have to get back to you on that one!
