Rear Door Rattle on 4,5 GL ............

My Patrol wat ek terug gekoop het is oppad van Worcester af, en hy het irriterende rattle op agterdeur.

Try adjust it??

Even with the spare off it still has an annoying squeak/rattle.

More than likely just needs adjustment (top and bottom). Is the door light on the dash flickering or staying off?

I read the story and I'm happy you're getting it back! Yup so the other thread "eliminating barn door squeaks" is your go to. It's such a common issue. Unfortuately.

K...……..Boer maak ;n Plan.

I glued a strip of (hard) rubber on that rear door catch, the rattles were GONE for 2 days.

Returned this morning, so I glued another strip.

Thinking of letting the rubber "compress" up to a point that maybe 3/4 strips do th etrick.

Its DEAD quiet again, and the door (the large one) closes with a rock solid "clunk".

Guys, that hard rubber strips on the rubber catch (the lower one on the big door) didn't work.

My small door now sometimes gets stuck, doesn't open.

I just adjusted that catch a little down, the door catch a little up, it now aligns (almost) perfectly, and closes solidly.

The small door is also now nicely aligned again.

I'll do some more alignments etc etc next week with the other catches (that uses a screwdriver) and fasten them securely.

But happy now.

Hy is nog half, so ek het darem so 100km om dit te doen

Sukkel nog met die rattle agter. Sal spare afhaal en kyk of dit die hassle is.

Maar sal gaan en ALLES losdraai en mooi stel en weer vas vas vas maak, ek dink ek het nou al so gekarring dat hy gaan rattle tot in Ewigheid.
