Thinking of doing the same, but from the rear seat backwards . The problem is where to attach it
I was thinking of fixing an alu bar/angle iron to the screws that is holding the rear handle bars at the top of the load bay windows and attached a net to them.
BUT only for soft things as said by others.

Your stove is small enough to find another secure place, I use a similar one, no fuss and instant heat to boil water for coffee.

Ja I have a net in my bakkie canopy for my jackets etc. Cheap from Rope World. But for the Patrol station wagons I haven't figured out how to mount it adequately

Ha! Thought of a new location. The side window at the back. We usually put a piece of cardboard in there to prevent sun from shining in when we go camping. Might as well put a small cargo net over thé window and shove the little stove in there. Its very light weight and will fit in nicely, and Will Be out of thé way
