Y61 Gearbox Mapping Issue

At the end of last year, I did a "stage 1" conversion, which encompassed the incorporation of a snorkel to obtain cooler air, a complete free flow system, and engine mapping. However, due to time constraints, gearbox mapping was left incomplete as we ran out of time on the eve of our holiday.
Subsequently, we tried to remap the gearbox yesterday but encountered a few obstacles. Upon completing the remapping, I immediately noticed a marked difference. However, regrettably, it shifts into a limp mode when I apply too much throttle. This error resolves upon the vehicle being powered down, and upon startup, engine light vanishes, and full power is restored, until I apply too much throttle again.
My intuition suggests that this is a protective mechanism to impede the excessive transmission of power to the wheels. Can anyone verify this? If that is the case, is there a way to bypass it?
Surely there must be a way around it, considering how they turbo and supercharge these motors?
