Safari Radiator

Hi all,

It seems that some things should be left as is. Last week the radiator got flushed (kg's of rust) and the past weekend it started leaking (draining rather) between the tank and core. My local guy is asking R3500 to fix it but I'm thinking why fix an already rusted radiator instead of fitting a new aluminum part. Trouble is finding the correct radiator. According to the mech the dimensions are 800mmX490mmX80mm which is strange since I find everything except for those dimensions.

Any advice? Need to drive the car down to Gourits next week...

Try Commercial Auto Parts, take the old radiator with you to see it is the correct one.

Size is not the main criteria, make sure mountings and in and outlets are in correct places and the radiator has the same thickness and fin sizes.

Otherwise you may need it made up by someone that does like this by someone like Tambow radiators in the south of Jhb.
