Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

Hi guys,

I have a used Iron Man 12000lb winch that has been lying in my garage for some years. In very good used condition, with remote pickup etc. I bought it some years ago from someone on this forum but have never used it, although strip and service it, replace gaskets and waterproof the various joints etc. One of these on the link below with synthetic rope, which also seems to still be in very good nick. I thought that I would replace the 8500lb winch in my patrol with it but have not got around to its own thinking of maybe letting it go. What is a reasonable price to ask for the unit? I guess it might make more sense to swap the two winches around and let the 8500lb one go. I can't remember what brand the latter is but will have a look.

In passing, what are the Adendorrf /MacAfric 4x4 winches like?

Can't help with the value of either of your current winches.

My dad bought a MacAfric 12000lb winch probably 13-15 years ago.
It never worked twice in a row, without maintenance in between.
But all the issues he had was with the solenoid/control box, not the winch itself. Having said that, the winch has only been used about 6 times...
