(TB42): Clutch thrust/release bearing???

Post by SJC »

Got this scenario:

When depressing the clutch before coming to a standstill (robot or stops street), noticed a rattling sound. Cannot feel any abnormal vibrations on clutch pedal, no difficulty changing gears.
(Noticed this a couple of months ago already but was not present all the time, not always noticable, but seems to be getting more frequent).

Only present when vehicle is moving, before coming to a stop, when clutch is depressed and vehicle in gear.
Not present when vehicle is not moving.
Not a scratching or squealing sound, just a rattle.
Clutch does not slip.

What can it be?

(PS, from what I can gather from all the invoices supplied with my gq which was filed by original owner, clutch was replaced in 2011 .....less than 50k km ago, now on 455k km’s :surprised:  )
