Spare wheel mounting storage box

Hi guys. I have a spare wheel arm on my rear bumper, which then leaves a space on the back door, where the spare wheel used to be. I’m toying with the idea of designing a box, with a butane gas cooker affixed on the inside, to be easily opened with ready cooking space. Image

I’m guessing stainless steel will be best with a rubber interior. How to properly seal for dust is another question?

I’m thinking also to allow removal of the stove to have added storage space. The box can only be about 10cm deep to not interfere with the spare wheel arm. I’m also contemplating placing a Brad-Harris plugpoint in the box to allow for easy attachment of my solar panel to the charge controller in the car.

Thoughts and ideas would be appreciated.

Perhaps refer to this thread and ask the poster who did his.

Edit: Sorry - I see he actually gives the name of the manufacturer and his contact number in the 5th post on that thread.

Thanks Ian, I’ll make contact with Flip. That box looks awesome!

I had a canvas bag made with a solid backplate that I bolted in place of the spare. I keep ropes and so on in there
