Guys I need some guidance please. What is a fair price for a 1999 4.2 Diesel GU with 290000km on the clock? Stock standard and in good condition. Colour Bronze.

Well, two years back I paid R120k for one with 350 000kms on.
I think with the current uptick in patrol prices, especially td42s, you might be looking at around R150k?
But Im really just thumb sucking here

Is the motor still standard, or has it been turbo'd, and if so, eho did it?

Well at present I will not let go of my 2000 td42 at 860000km for R150K.....

Graham, I am overseas and have to rely on other people to look for me. I had someone take a peek and he sent me some pics and impressions. Send me your mobile number and I will send it all on whatsapp if you want. I am in two minds to be honest. I think it is a good buy. The seller wants R160000.

For an unmolested 4,2 in good condition, one owner, and less than 300 000km, it would be fair to pay anything between R150 000 - R220 000 in my opinion, depending on how you value those attributes.
They are very scarce vehicles.
