Re: Tyre pressure
I've never even been able to find a 4x4 trail at Marakele. Just a couple of bad roads, none of which I actually needed 4x4 for...
However, I would say around 1.5-1.8 should be a good starting point?

Re: Tyre pressure
They used to have a guided 4x4 trail but that is in another part of Marakele. The website currently states that it is not available until further notice.
In the public side of Marakele there is a road that was for 4x4s only. It is +- 10km long and end where a house used to be, you then have to drive the same road back. Last year you were only allowed to drive this road if you paid R1000. I told them they were crazy. When we drove past this road there was a park ranger stationed at the entrance. It is the road on the map which ends at Road users must turn at this point. There are 2 or 3 places on this road where you may have to use 4x4 but it is an easy but bumpy drive.

Re: Tyre pressure
I did it easily with 31inch tyres and 2inch lift few years back. There is one difficult rock climb rest just a rough track
