Rhett wrote: 08 Sep 2020 08:48 So a quick question to the radio gurus, which one of these are able to play video / youtube etc? Yes obviously before I get crucified, I know it should not be used while driving  maaaar I would love to have it connected up to my phone or sim card so when I am parked enjoying a beer under the tree I can stream my fav vids or shows. My old unit is still the original with tape deck and 6 CD shuttle - maybe time for an upgrade specifically for the use of maps..

Oh and are any of these compatible with after market maps like T4A etc?
Well any radio that does a mirror link from your phone will allow you to play YouTube (think the one nav does allow mirror link on android phones). Regarding the maps, if it uses an igo base map software it can run t4a. I think the guys do load t4a on onenav, but it does not carry the detail as for instance a Garmin with T4A

Thanks Izak, something I will be interested in. I will do some more homework and see what suits my need. I know with my Apple Carplay it straight out refuses to mirror video playing software, even with the car standing still - but that unit is OEM so it's understandable. My left front speaker has also gone, sounds like a high school kids Corolla at the moment, so I do have some motivation to look around

yeah apple does not allow mirroring , don't think that YouTube is part of apple CarPlay . Don't know if it'll change with ios14 that'll be released in the next 2-3 weeks. On my side, I use apple CarPlay exclusively. I'm just in a crappy mood if I can't listen to music while I drive.

But have a look at the onenav units......its basically an android tablet, so it'll have YouTube and so on. But yes, they are expensive but looks awesome (especially if you add the vehicle diagnostic add ons)

Thanks! Plenty options out there by the looks of it. Nowadays, USB, Aux and physical media are redundant. My Carplay has had it's glitches over the years but I think most part was due to my phone. As soon as I do a factory reset and start again it works fine

Mhh, the first part I needed of the Nissan brand is the solenoid for the diff lock. BRITZ AUTO has not been able to find one during the last month.

Any suggestions where I can get one.

Tinus says I can recondition mine.

How difficult is that.

Baie maklik.
Haal solonoid af, buig plaaitjies oop, haal uitmekaar, maak roes op plunger skoon, spuit q20, sitvterug in mekaar. Seker n halfuur job.

Ek dink op 4x4 com, of hier, het ek n thread daaroor gemaak waar ek wys hoe.
