Installed these on the front.

Old rubber can stay on the rear in case of blow-out.
Took it for a spin to town and back this evening. Steering much lighter with these. Don't know why.
The famous pulling to the left is gone. Car tracks straight, although the steering has a larger dead spot in the straight ahead position. As if some play suddenly developed somewhere causing a fair amount of steering input before anything reacts.

Tread is surprisingly quiet, and it turns out they are so close to the same size, that the front propshaft runs free enough in 4wd that it still rattles on the slip joint. A bit hard ride at 2 bar and will drop it to at least 1.8 tomorrow. Although probably better to drop to 1.5bar to match the rear tyres.

Hi guys. There are some used 36 inch Michelin XZL's for sale in PE. They would look great on a Patrol, but the load/speed ratings may be an issue.

Has anyone here used Goodride sl366 mt or Maxtrek mud track before? Verdict?
I dont want to spend more than 3k on a tyre, not much available in this price range.

Good morning Guys

I am looking at replacing the tyres on my 1995 GQ, which are currently 31 x 10.5 x 15 General Grabbers.
The vehicle is used predominantly in the game reserves, and not serious offroading.
I was looking at getting a slightly quieter all terrain tyre, without affecting the overall gearing for highway use.
owners manual is not helpful, but 245/75-15 tyres have been recommended, but are 40mm less in rolling circumference, this will help with acceleration and torque, but how will it affect fuel consumption and revs?
Assistance would be appreciated.
Regards
George

This doesn't answer your question but just commenting that 245 75 15 tyres are tiny. My Colt Clubcab and Ford Courier bakkies came out with them standard
