Re: Bonnet protectors
Forgive my ignorance but what is the need for someone with an automotive import permit to bring them in? Will the import tax be astronomical if we all share the cost between us? If there is enough buyers then it should only be a smallish percentage (hopefully) of the purchase price ?
When in doubt throttle out !

I saw on FB that ons of the members bought a bonnet protector from a local Nissan dealer for R1, 200.00. I doubt if we will, with the current ROE in mind, get it cheaper that that - leave alone the shipment that will also add to the price.
I have already contacted Brits Nissan - Luan the DP is a huge Patrol fan - and asked if they can get us these protectors and at what price.

Re: Bonnet protectors
Great George!
The reason I started this is because in the original FB post, that prompted this post, it was mentioned that these are not available locally.
If we can get these here, it will solved a lot of issues.
Thank you George, for finding out.... Please keep us informed.

Re: Bonnet protectors
I went to Bruma Nissan, got a quote from them for R1128.07 inclusive of VAT, so I ordered one.
They obviously have no stock themselves and cannot determine on the online system if Nissan has any in stock, but they will let me know tomorrow. Holding thumbs. If I am extremely lucky, I could have mine in my dirty little paws by Friday, to fit on Saturday!!!
The orders guy at Bruma also told me that Nissan has just received 3 or 5 containers full of spares that have been in the harbour since the start of the lockdown, but nobody can tell what has arrived and when these will be unpacked.....
