Pedal box

Hi guys. Was wondering has anyone fitted a pedal box controller?

I personally believe it does nothing to enhance power etc. But have a different line of thougt for use. Just shortens travel and response

I would like to lower the response on the 4.8 petrol in rocky conditions or ruts where pedal hopping makes the ride less smooth than it needs to be and the car jumpy because of its quick response. Same goes for sand. Here it could be more responsive with less foot needed.

For normal use it should function as though turned off completely. Basically like the terrain response setup in the disco 4 etc.

For diesels i believe the bit slower response of the engine does not need it but it could make a nice addition to a petrol engine.

Has anyone done this or know if it is possible to retard the response. On the web all seems to try and make it quicker to make the car at least seem more powerfull than it is as an eye blind. Toyotas off late employ this in hilux and from my perception driving them it does absolutely nothing but increase response with less throttle. Nothing to do with "power" button as suggested.

Hi Pierre and welcome!

When I still did the 4/5 trails I wondered the same, but I was thinking along the lines of the old mechanical throttle systems with the rotating knobs - low speed control. Hopefully someone on the forum has experience, looking forward to the discussion.

To have improved throttle response would be great. I know RGM offer this upgrade, however the price is not user friendly.

A crawling throttle control would also be a very cool mod.

I'd be keen on both these.
