Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

Hi everyone

I have been quoted R 4,920 incl. VAT to recore my ZD30 Patrol's leaking intercooler. I will phone Nissan to confirm the price on a new intercooler , but any ideas of a cheaper option? I am willing to change to a larger front mount intercooler. Any first hand experience with the conversion?

Michael can do it, but it's not in kit form so he would need the car at his workshop. I'm in PE which makes Michael more expensive than the re-core option.

Ek het my seun se hilux intercooler reg gemaak met TECHNO-WELD 450 x 3 mm rods. Dit is n lae hitte rod en werk soos soldeersel met n butaan blaasvlam.Het dit by METAL CENTRE gekry. 011 493 4930/9 Daar is ook youtube video daarvan. Het al n alu radiator ook so ge[soldeer] vir noodhulp.

Thanks Tinus. I have already pulled the trigger on having mine re-cored.
