Balancing tyres with BB's

Does anyone have any experience with using BB's inside the tyre as a way to balance?
I have seen this reccomended in the US for 35" & up sizes especially on aggressive muds.
Has anyone here done it succesfully?

I have also been thinking about it. I dont think Plastic BB's will work but I saw a bottle of Steel BB's at the gun shop because I think the smoothness of the ball is essential. Seems one needs 230g per tire. I would have tried it if I found time to do so.

The Centramatics also peak my interest.

Dyna Beads recommendations attached. Don't go on those prices, that PDF has been on my PC since May 2014 when I first had a look at them.
