Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

I am based in Durban - does anyone know a non-dealer workshop in the Durban area that will be able to service my Patrol. I suspect I may need a clutch replacement, but I also want a basic service. Thanks in advance. Mark

Not to sure about Durban area, what you can perhaps do is find out from your Nissan dealership if they do not gave a out of warranty hourly rate , some of the dealers that are not part of a group do that, I will however find out from my connection at Nissan Balito whom he can recommend

I had the same issue when I was still in KZN. I scratched around and was put onto a guys by the name of Peter. Here is his number

He was recommended to me by my wife's Uncle, he gets his bakkie done there and I think he said that Peter used to be a Patrol owner also but I speak under correction... Apparently he specializes in large 4x4 vehicles and services and has a good reputation. I didnt go to him in the end as he was away on holiday and I moved shortly after but you could check him out.

Just reviving an old thread. My Y61 3.0 diesel is due for its first out of motor plan service and I’d also like it to have a good general check over as I’m due to do a few big trips this year.

Does anyone have any current recommendations for patrol gurus I can take it to in the greater Durban area ? I’m in Ballito but happy to take it wherever the skills are.

Failing a good recommendation I will plan a work trip to JHB and get one of the guys up there to sort it. Michael Styn I think the name was.

jip peter is the guy in rhe greater Durban area . his no is a up earlier in the tread. if you are coming to Jhb you will be very happy with a service from Ants custom workshop or Sojo automotive both these guys wil sort you out next level.
