Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

The cruise control on my 4.8 refuse to set at speeds greater than 130km/hr (true speed). Nissan say it is not suppose to do that, but they cannot tell me how to fix it !?

Have any body experience this before?

Further more; the rear gear lock also refuse to engage. maybe the problem is with the vacuum system?

Hi Niekie, swop the vacuum pipes around and see if it works if so, turn it back and if not its the vaccum unit. Only 1600.00 rand. I have had a couple that we do that to and suddenly it's ok, almost as if a solenoid gets stuck... Cheers G

Re the cruise control, take a stick and wedge it between your seat and the go faster pedal and you will be cruising...

Switching the vacuum pipes worked well!!! It suddenly came alive.

It's just the cruise control !

Ps. G-man: I couldn't find a long enough stick
