I have klapping snapping whatever weird sound on my car. And it is all Oom Mac's fault. It took my Patrol by the roof rack and shook it, saying that my suspension is klaar!! " joke net Oompie"

The noise is now permanent and wors after the river trip. So on monday I decided to take a closer look. Then I noticed my front passanger side shock is dripping oil. So I thought that this is the problem. Picked up the phone. Spoke to Voetspore, send them a photo required. A few hours later I got a call back. They said it wil be replaced under warrenty, they ordered the shock. It was their on wednesday. I went through this morning and they replaced it free of charge. So QQQ to the Voetspore guys for great service!!!!

But the noise is still their so know I need advice on where to look. So please guys, any idea's?

It happens when conering hard, climbing pavements, basicly any rolling of the body....

Here is a pic of the shock

Check all the suspension bushes, and possibly also the body mounts.

Condition of the rubbers and tightness of the fasteners. Use a big screwdriver or a small koevoet to lever them around.

Also check the sway bars carefully (bushes, ball joints cracks or breaks at the end near the holes for the ball joints. It might also be an exhaust rubber...

I would take it back to Voetspore to have a look/see
And if they don't spot it, let them ride to hear the noise.

thanx for the quick response guys. was just about to move this post because it doesnt reflect on the active topics. none of the suspension post does....

Alex, yes I asked them to check everything. but I think they only checked the shocks, caster correction bushes and coils, as it is the only stuff they worked on. the mechanic showed me where the coil noise comes from when I jump. but ja, i am 180km away and am not driving their again unless I can find a problem related to their part of the suspension. i should have given it a proper beating while I was their, but being in a hurry to meet up with mr. Lotz for my heap of steel, I just sped off. i am confident that they would have assisted if I tested and asked.

Peter i will do as you explained, hopefully I can find the bugger. its definitely in the front.
