Hi
Can anyone recommend a good workshop for common rail engines around JHB or PTA.
Took my vehicle for a service after my first 5000km to Nissan Midrand. It was only for oil and filter replacement. They charged me 2500 for it. They had to replace a rear break light globe, an extra 250 for it. All in all it costed be R3700.
I am not interested in using these guys anymore

. I don't mind driving to PTA. Been hearing about Graham in this forum. Is he also recommended for diesel engines?

Yes it's out of warranty. Didn't sign up for extended warranty however, signed up for extended service plan though.
But I am making a habit of getting my SUV serviced for every 5000km.

Ok i have driven plenty different patrols and i must say the 30l crd is a very impressive engine....
.
There are some stuff that are there only to make life difficult for the owner....lol...
Removing the cat makes the engine get rid of hot exhaust gas mutch faster and putting a 3inch exhust helps in the same way you dont need to block egr but it stops all the carbon going into your motor only one benefitting from that is nissan with their euro 3 rating your motor doesn't need it as a matter of fact it makes it wear more
Speak to me if you wanna buy a madman mabe i can help
