I did a shoot there about a year ago, I spoke to Alan about it & his lease ends this year sometime.

He's been fighting for a while to stay open, the worst thing is the that when its taken back by the "Industrial Company" they want to use it as a acid run off dam so it will all be destroyed...

Its an old dolomite mine. Scuba divers do a lot of training there. We go down to 25m odd on the advanced divers course. There is quite a few goodies in there like a bus, helicopter, submarine turret, computer and table, and a whole load of odds and ends. then there is a very nice driving track.... do a search here on Bass Lake and you will see some great photos!!
