Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

Got 4 as new Bilstein B6 offroad shocks for the Nissan Patrol.

Shocks have done about 3000km. Perfectionist with a shock problem so been through a lot of shocks and these are great but I find them too hard for normal road use. Its a monotube gas shock and they are so powerful that they actually lift your car about 1- 2 cm and they are a bitch to fit as they are almost impossible to compress so you need to jack up your patrol to the open shock length to fit.

They are still under warranty as they are about 2-3 month old - got invoices, they were bought direct from Incomex who are the agents in SA. http://www.imcomex.co.za/

Asking R4500 for the set. I paid about R5500 for them new which was a great price from the agents.

I am buying a new set of OME nitrocharger shocks and coils in about a week so these will be for sale. Had the OME sport and found them to be a bit too stiff so getting the older nitro ones as they come in a comfort valve setting

I also have the original nissan KYB shocks for sale but I think these shocks are generally crappy cheap in my opinion even though the agents wants about 2000 rand each.

I had a set on the Terrano and the comfort is just unreal .. but when you want toe , just uo the setting and it goes like a scalectrix car on trax .. Really worth a look-at

Are these Bilstein shocks for standard height suspension or are they extended length for a 2/3/4 inch lift?

Hahaha I can confirm that Noel is a"perfectionist with a shock problem"! I'd bought the OME's from him - just had them fitted not too long ago Noel - haven't noticed much of a difference i.t.o. comfort on the road though - and it should've been worse on my GQ!

They are not for any lifted coils, they should only be used on the stock standard Nissan Patrol coils springs.

Glad the OME kit is working well for you

You won't believe it but I just bought another OME setup for my Patrol, its the older Nitro charger shocks (bought new from 4x4 mega world) and the lower 1 inch coils springs.

Ride is a bit harder than the Nissan coils but off road it's very good.

Haha ok! Yes I've noticed a lot less body roll - so I've even removed the rear stabiliser bar (as I hear that impacts articulation). She did seem quite a bit harder on gravel though - hope not. Otherwise, haven't had a chance to play much yet.
