Pieter, help hier asb.
Groete
Ek dink ons moet vir Pieter nominate as die "organiser"op die forum in die Kaap sooswat ons moderators het of so?

Raka,
I replaced mine less than a month ago - bought it from a spares shop in CT - 150 BUCKS

EXACT same thing as the Nissan Fan!!! Nissan here quoted me R1550-00 for the fan

(without the viscus of course) - I still have my old fan at home and will check for you tonight.
You can also try places like Midas, Auto Zone, and basically any place selling car parts - but if you don't come right let me know I can buy it here in CT and courier it to you - will still be cheaper!!!
One question - from the price you said they quoted you - is that for the fan with the viscus included??

Nissan het gesukkel om die regte fan te kry vir my 99 4.2d.
2106006j10 was verkeerd maar
2106005d01 pas. R1840 en 1 week later.

Raka,
Here's a photo of my fan that came off my Patrol (3.0d 2002 Model) - it is the same as the one that is on Frans' s 99 4.2 D.
There is a couple of number imprints on the fan and I dont know which one is the actual part number - but none of the numbers is anything close to what Johan B posted above. Johan may be you could comment here on whether it is also the same as yours - then at least we have narrowed down the part number issue. Anycase the numbers imprinted on the plastic of my fan is:
450-13-6
SAE [PP]
>PP-GF3< OR >PP-6F3<
2W201
I got the exact same size fan from a spares shop in CT - same number and shape of the blades - like I said 150 bucks later!!!
Hope this helps - but my offer (check my first post) stands if you don't come right.
Regards

None of those look like a Nissan part number. Could it be that your car already had a pirate fan?
By the way, the >PP-GF3< is recycling information indicating that the fan is made out of polypropylene that is glass-filled for strength.

The first fan Nissan supplied looked identical to the old one but the holes were slightly smaller and did not 100% align with the holes on the coupling. The second one fits perfectly.
It is similar to the one on the picture above but I am not able to tell whether the holes is the right size.

Johan
Thanks - the holes fitted perfectly on my 3.0l D and on Frans's 4.2 D - we have exaclty the same fan - so it must be the right one!!
Raka what happened to you - you have not made any comments yet

- did you come right??

I am not sure what the differences are, but the fans for different engines all seem to have different Nissan part numbers.
From
this thread:
Gerrit Loubser wrote:Note that the Nissan part numbers for the fans of the TB45E, TB48DE, TD42 and ZD30 engined Patrols are all different. It might still be possible to fit a fan designed for a different motor, but I think it is likely that the blade pitch might vary between different fans, because they will be designed with a particular engine's heat load and operating speed range in mind.
By the way, the part numbers for the fans are:
TB45E: 21060-WJ100
TB48DE: 21060-VC200
TD42: 21060-06J01 or 21060-05D01
ZD30: 21060-2W201
